In preparation for some major updates to come by the end of the month, we’ll be doing some major database maintenance starting from today. Yup, that means jumping lots of table hurdles, etc. So you can expect to see several error messages popping up as you browse the site.
This is terrible news of course, but it is necessary to fix some of the existing issues we’ve been having recently on the site.
If you can bare with us during this time, that would be greatly appreciated!
On the brighter side, below are some samples of the new collages that will be available soon:
Tell us what you think!
I know we’re a little late to the party, but better late than never!!! It was a good world cup this year with lots of upsets early on, but Spain came out on top, they played very consistent in my opinion.
We’ve created a special collage just for the occasion too, have a look below and let us know what you think about it.
More of these collages will roll out later this month so stay tuned!
Recently a friend asked me to do a collage for her to give as a birthday gift, so I played with a few ideas and suggested a few things. In the end, we decided that doing a collage using pictures of them having fun also in the shape of the country where she’s from would be perfect. So I went to work… Her friend was from the Ukraine so I had to first add that country to the list of other country collages, then I used about 16 pictures to make the actual collage.
The final result was pretty awesome, and we are now even considering to add these kinds of gifts in our Picture2Life Shop for everyone to be able to purchase, what do you think?
Check out the final result below in a beautiful 6×9 picture frame!
Today we’ve rolled out some improvements to the Text/Caption UI which is available when editing pictures. The new UI features a simple and clean interface, now with the ability to "preview the caption" as well as "drag-and-drop" functionality so you can easily place the captions/text exactly where you want.
We hope you enjoy the new improvements and we look forward to seeing more awesome captions on your pictures!

Today we’ve launched a new image search feature when Creating a Collage or Animation that allows you basically to insert “any image you like from around the web”. The image search is currently powered by Google therefore it gives you a wide and accurate range of images to choose from. If you are familiar with selecting pictures from your gallery or favorites, choosing images from Google Images is the same easy process… “Simply click on the image you want to use!”
Now you can be even more creative with the Collages or Animations you create!
Try one of the popular searches to get started:
- Sponge Bob
- Kim Kardishan
- Chelsea
- Real Madrid
- Ferari
- Justin Bieber
- Iron Man 2
- Lil Wayne
- UFC 113 rematch
- Americas Got Talent
As usual, stay tuned to what we have coming next by visiting our blog, following us @picture2life on twitter or by following me @JustCallMeRey.

Here is something new we’ll be adding to Picture2Life in 2010, and it is called "Live" since you basically watch as users edit pictures, create animations or collages live on the site. Its pretty neat, I know it isn’t something new or novel but I personally think its really cool =)
You’ll also be able to comment and share pictures that you see “pop up” on the map, or be able to navigate through some of the pictures that you’ve missed!
